1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They help the website work, remember information between pages, and tell the website owner how the site is being used. Similar technologies, such as browser “session storage”, work in the same way and are covered by this policy too.
2. How We Use Cookies
AI Appliance Services uses a small number of cookies to:
- understand how visitors find and use our website, so we can improve it (Google Analytics);
- show you our location on an embedded Google Map; and
- keep our own staff securely signed in to the website’s admin area.
We do not use cookies for advertising or to sell information about you, and we do not use cookies to identify you personally.
3. Cookies Used on This Website
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_RJWBJ2BSNS | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors and sessions so we can see, in aggregate, how the website is used. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
| NID and other Google cookies | Google Maps (google.com) | Set by Google when the embedded map of our location loads; used by Google to remember preferences and for security. | Up to 6 months (set by Google) | Third-party / functional |
| aiapp_admin | aiapplianceservices.com | Keeps our staff signed in to the private admin area. Not set for regular visitors. | Until the browser is closed | Strictly necessary |
| Session storage flag | aiapplianceservices.com | Remembers, for the current tab only, that the page has already tried reloading after an update, to avoid a reload loop. | Until the tab is closed | Strictly necessary |
4. Third-Party Cookies
Google Analytics and Google Maps are provided by Google, which sets and controls its own cookies. Google’s use of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can read more in How Google uses cookies.
5. Managing or Turning Off Cookies
You are in control of cookies. You can:
- block or delete cookies in your browser settings (look for “Privacy” or “Cookies” in Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox);
- opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on; or
- browse in a private or incognito window, which clears cookies when it is closed.
If you block cookies, the website will still work for browsing and booking, although the embedded map may not display.
6. More Information
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally. We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. For questions, please contact us:
