Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use our website or book an appliance diagnosis or repair with us.
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of aiapplianceservices.com and to any appliance diagnosis, repair or related service provided by AI Appliance Services (ABN 59 692 487 326, ACN 692 487 326) (“we”, “us” or “our”).
By using our website, submitting a booking request or approving a service call, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded (see section 9).
2. Our Services
We provide in-home diagnosis and repair of household appliances, including washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, ovens, cooktops, induction cooktops, rangehoods, steam ovens and supported vacuum cleaners, across Sydney’s North Shore and nearby suburbs.
Whether we can service a particular appliance depends on its type, brand, model, the fault and the availability of parts. Where a brand or model is listed on our website, this indicates the types of appliances we commonly work on — it is not a guarantee that every model or fault can be repaired.
3. Bookings and Appointments
A booking request made through our website, by phone or by email is a request only. A booking is confirmed once we contact you to agree on a date and attendance window. Our phones are open 7 days, 7am–7pm.
When booking, please give us accurate information, including:
- your name, phone number and the full service address;
- the appliance type, brand and complete model number (where available);
- a description of the fault and any error code shown; and
- anything that affects access — for example built-in, integrated or stacked installations, parking, lift or building-management requirements.
Attendance times are estimates. Traffic, earlier jobs and parts availability can cause delays; we will let you know as soon as practical if we are running late. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please tell us as early as possible so the time can be offered to another customer. See our Refund, Cancellation & Warranty Policy.
4. Service Call Fee and Pricing
Our service call fee is $165, including GST and card fees. It covers the technician’s attendance at your property and the initial professional diagnosis of the fault. See our pricing page for more detail.
The service call fee is not the total price of every repair. Additional costs may apply for:
- further repair labour;
- replacement parts, including model-specific components;
- difficult appliance access; and
- a second visit if parts need to be ordered.
We will explain and quote any additional labour and parts before further work proceeds. No additional work will be carried out without your approval. If you decide not to proceed after the diagnosis, only the service call fee is payable.
5. Quotes, Parts and Repairs
Quotes are based on the fault identified at the time of diagnosis and are valid for the period stated on the quote. Occasionally a further fault only becomes apparent once a repair is underway (for example, a second component that has also failed). If this happens we will stop, explain what we have found and obtain your approval before any extra work or cost.
Where parts need to be ordered, delivery times depend on the manufacturer or supplier and are outside our control. Parts ordered specifically for your appliance may require payment or a deposit before they are ordered, which we will confirm with you at the time. Replaced parts become our property unless you ask to keep them before the repair.
Sometimes a repair is not practical or economical — for example if parts are no longer available or the cost of repair is high relative to the appliance’s value. In that case we will tell you honestly so you can decide whether to repair or replace.
6. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the service call or repair, or by the due date shown on your invoice. We will issue a tax invoice for all work.
If an invoice is not paid by its due date, we may suspend further work and take reasonable steps to recover the amount owing, including reasonable collection costs where permitted by law.
7. Your Responsibilities
To help us work safely and efficiently, you agree to:
- ensure an adult (18 years or older) is present, or access has been arranged, at the agreed time;
- provide safe, clear access to the appliance and to the relevant power, water and gas supplies;
- keep children and pets away from the work area;
- tell us about any known hazards or previous repair attempts; and
- confirm you are the owner of the appliance, or are authorised by the owner to arrange the repair.
Our technicians may decline or stop work where conditions are unsafe. Moving heavy or built-in appliances can carry a risk of minor marking to surrounding floors, benchtops or cabinetry; we take care to avoid this and will discuss any particular concerns with you before moving an appliance.
8. Warranty on Our Work
Any warranty we give on parts and workmanship will be confirmed on your quote or invoice. If a fault we repaired reoccurs, please contact us promptly so we can assess it.
Our warranty does not cover faults caused by:
- misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions;
- repairs or modifications carried out by anyone other than us after our visit;
- power surges, water supply issues, pests or other external causes; or
- normal wear and tear, or unrelated faults in other parts of the appliance.
This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. See our Refund, Cancellation & Warranty Policy for how to make a claim.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and except for the guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use of an appliance, spoiled food, or costs of alternative arrangements while an appliance is awaiting repair or parts. Where our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee can be limited, our liability is limited (at our option) to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
11. Use of Our Website
The information on our website, including articles, fault guides and pricing information, is general in nature and is provided to help you understand common appliance problems. It is not a substitute for an on-site diagnosis. Please do not attempt electrical, gas or water repairs yourself — these should only be carried out by suitably qualified people.
We aim to keep our website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Our website may link to third-party websites that we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content.

12. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
13. Complaints and Disputes
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. If we cannot resolve the issue together, you may contact NSW Fair Trading at www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au or on 13 32 20.
14. Changes and Governing Law
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you book a service will apply to that service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
